StillTabs

iOS app and browser extension · 2025–present

Screen-time blockers punish you for using the internet, so people delete them. StillTabs blocks nothing. It loads YouTube, Instagram, X, Reddit and Facebook inside native WebViews and strips out the parts engineered to keep you scrolling — infinite feeds, autoplay, Reels, Shorts, algorithmic recommendations — while leaving your messages, your friends’ posts and the video you actually searched for exactly where they were.

I designed and built nearly all of it: the React Native app, the per-platform injection layer, a launcher whose tiles resize to match your real usage, a five-account switcher with isolated cookie stores, a home-screen widget, and the design system underneath. Everything runs on device — no servers, no telemetry, nothing collected.

The App Store artwork on this page is mine as well. I brought in Cesare, Sophie and Mina for video, and set up how that side of it runs.

Music from brainwaves

First prize, Programming & Arts · 2025

A system that turns EEG brainwave data into music as it is being recorded. I started the project, wrote the programming for the live audio synthesis, directed the creative direction and produced the final submission video. It took first prize in the Programming & Arts category of an international hackathon with more than 800 participants, and was picked up by my faculty.

CSAI Summaries

Open-source study resource · 2024–present

Lecture, book and course summaries for the Cognitive Science and AI programme at Tilburg, written mostly by me and open to contributions from anyone else on the course. Past 5,000 views from within the programme.

Beto Beats

Audio plug-ins and the records made with them · 2020–present

I write cross-platform audio plug-ins — instruments and effects in VST3 and AU formats — in C++ using JUCE. That means DSP algorithms for real-time audio, low-latency buffer management and parameter automation, interfaces built on JUCE’s component system, and code-signed universal binaries that hold up across DAWs on Intel, Apple Silicon and Windows.

The same name releases music. I produce, design sound kits and work with recording artists. The two halves are not separate jobs — I build the tools and then go and use them.

Mortgage Banking Intern
MBH Bank, Budapest, 2025
I built large-scale Python data pipelines with Selenium web scraping and browser automation, collecting and processing property market data for the bank’s internal valuation models. I designed the whole workflow myself, including the cleaning, transformation and validation routines, and documented it so it could be maintained after I left. It cut the manual data handling substantially.
